Common to our human experience is believing that God is somewhere in the great beyond and we choose to either go on the quest to find the Transcendent – or not. We think that we have to search high and low to find God and some of us just never do.  However, as our dear founding pastor, Fr. Louis F. Knight always said, “In seeking God,  you have already found God.”  I think what he meant is that God is always present to us, we are just not present to God. Turning our hearts and minds to that connection can be tricky sometimes. It can feel dry or dark or unproductive. Putting feelings aside and trusting is the hardest part of the search. Staying on the quest is the challenge. The reward is a great and lifetime adventure.
