Mother Teresa said, “Do small things with great love.”And isn’t that what mothers and fathers do, put a bandaid on the stuffed toy’s “boo-boo” or play ball with our kids? We reach out and hold our spouses and friends in their hour of greatest need through prayer and fellowship. When I went through my divorce, one of the many transitions I faced was moving out of the home I had lived in for 34 years and  into a condominium that was half the size. I could never have done it without the help of my girlfriends, who came from all walks of my life – my daughter’s school, my church, my college sorority, my musician friends. We laughed and cried together. They held my hand. They moved me out and moved me in. They did small things with great love. Each woman has left an indelible footprint of love in my soul.  I listen to the song, “SMALL THINGS WITH GREAT LOVE”  by Daneille Rose to empower me, like my friends, to be faithful in small things.
