I grew up in a family of six children and we really could not afford elaborate summer vacations. We were content going to the ocean for the day, grilling hot dogs on the beach for dinner, and staying until the sunset. It was a simple childhood. It’s all we knew. I was thinking today about all those who will not be taking summer or any vacations this year because of health reasons, financial concerns or experiencing trials, loss or transitions in life. Hopefully, in time, you will move through this season you now find yourself in, stronger and better in some way.  You know you are not alone. There is someone who knows everything you are going through and his name is Jesus. We lift you up in our prayers this day because that is what we do. It’s all we know…”I am with you always.” Matthew 28:2
