“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians 3:17

During the mass, the priest says, “May the Lord be with you.” And we reply,”and with your spirit.” In the times of my life when I have felt completely alone, abandoned, and afraid, I have reached out in desperation to God in prayer. If I allow the Holy One to comfort me and bring me peace, I feel as if I am resting in a bubble. At the edges of the bubble is the anxiety pushed back, and on the inside of the bubble is spaciousness and light and peace. I am free in the arms of God and can rest knowing tomorrow is a new day. If I can then be fully present, awake in the moment, I will be free to discover what God has intended for me that day.
