So many books, so little time! A wise teacher told me many years ago when I was reading unchallenging materials that I shouldn’t waste my time on anything but “the best.” When asked what exactly that meant, she pointed me toward the many lists of great books that have been compiled by the smartest people. I’ve tried to follow that advice all my life and it has served me well. While we seem to be reading more these days on the internet, it is important to be mindful of content. If we are only reading the news everyday, the soul can actually be quite disturbed. For edification and a sense of peace, make it a habit to read one poem a day. Before you dismiss this resolution, open yourself  to another possibility.
