Beloved, we are God’s children now; what we shall be has not yet been revealed.  1 John 2:32

Being with children at Christmas time transports the soul and uplifts the spirit with a sense of wonder. Even those of us who have more than a few years between childhood and now can appreciate the simple wonder of gazing at an illuminated tree. Somehow, remembrances of these magical moments are carried by the child within despite the cares and worries of our very complex lives. Against the backdrop of eternity we are forever young, beloved children of God.  These contemplative moments gift us with signals of transcendence that nourish and edify us all, no matter the age.
