“This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it. . .”  Luke 11:29

These seem like harsh words from Jesus, the forgiver and lover. Yet, sometimes love must be tough as we all know.

Longing for a sign from God is a universal experience. Most of us want to do the right thing, but we are unsure and full of doubt. So we beg and hope to be shown some tangible indication that God is listening. In this search, we often look for something cataclysmic to happen. However, the sign, forever being given, is quiet and gentle, rising up from the love of Jesus Christ, who bombards us daily with His presence in our ordinary lives.  We just need to get better at seeing beyond the disguises.
