The search for meaning lies at the heart of the human condition. We possess a kind of “holy longing,” according to the poet Goethe, that can only be satisfied by God. In some people, the search is evident. In others, it is ignored, disguised or submerged by addictive behaviors.  Whatever the case, this is an important question to continually ask ourselves. The answer, simultaneously personal and universal,  must be pushed to the forefront of awareness so that we do not forget the real reason we are here.
