“The works that the Father gave me to accomplish, these works that I perform testify on my behalf that the Father has sent me. . . “ John 5:34

Jesus is a blatant miracle worker in John’s gospel. Often called the “Book of Glories,” Jesus’ words and actions prove that he is indeed the Son of God, empowered by his Father.  In this chapter and elsewhere in John,  Jesus’ patience with his skeptics wears thin. What more do you want? he asks.  The blind see, the lame walk, the dead rise. Still, the people do not believe.
